Wonderfully and fearfully made

Psalms‬ ‭139:13-16

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139:13-16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The wonder, glory, and sovereignty of the Lord, weaves its way like a golden thread of wonderment, through so many of David's psalms, but none so beautifully than Psalms 139. I love these verses. Just picture the David overwhelmed by the beauty and the wonder, the majesty of God’s work in the womb. The way He crafted you and me formed our inward parts knit us together. What a picture of what is happening in the womb. God himself is wonderfully forming a child in his image and this is you. This is me. Don’t get over this. Just let it soak in where you are right now. You have been crafted. God himself has formed you. You know, I think we all have tendencies to think, Oh, I wish I looked this way. I wish I had this gift. I wish I had what that person has. Stop, stop and realize you have been fearfully and wonderfully made by God himself. His hands have knit us together. In particular, I think about the special needs area of families and children and adults with disabilities that are a part of our world and I see amidst what the world might say is not wonderful. I see the good hand of God creating every single person fearfully and wonderfully. I prefer to believe that there is a divine design to our complete selves. It is no accident when our eyes are blue, our hair is straight, our legs are long, or our fingers are short and stubby. David said it so beautifully. God made all the delicate, inner parts of our bodies and knit us together in our mother’s womb. He watched as we were being formed in utter seclusion, as we were woven together. And then David expresses gratitude to God for this wonder: Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex. Your workmanship is marvelous. And, as for ourselves, no matter how old we get, we still deal with personal issues, these things that bring out some hidden insecurity that no one else sees. But God sees. And we must remember that. He has a plan. We are who we are for a reason. How we deal with the details is up to us. The best thing for us to do is to be thankful for them. Let us join in with David in praising our Sovereign Creator for fearfully and wonderfully creating us. Glory!!!

Father thank You for this day and these beautiful verse’s on the sanctity of human life. Lord open the windows of heaven and pour out Your abundance over my friend and family today. Lord thank You that You gave us life, formed our inward parts, and have scheduled every day of our lives. Lord how we praise and thank You that we have been born-again into Your family, and have received a new life in You. Lord use my friend to be a light in the darkness of this world for others to find their way to You. Daddy we love you amen. Be a blessing. Love ya !!

Thank you for the reminder of how wonderfully we are made, and the image of God that he has created us so beautifully! It is a wonder how much our God is loving 🥰 of us .
