Unveiled Freedom

2 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭15‬-‭18‬

Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭15‬-‭18‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Being able to see the world around you is amazing compared to the feeling of being in darkness. Could you imagine never being able to lift a blindfold from your eyes? Those who do not have a relationship with Jesus live with a permanent blindfold that keeps them from seeing the beauty of God. The only one who can lift that blindfold is Jesus. Once we believe that Jesus is who He said He is, then we begin transforming into a new creation in Christ. We are Christ's ambassadors and the main objective is to reflect the Lord's glory. Paul is pointing out the freedom that we have through the Holy Spirit to enjoy our Christian walk with God. Paul said that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Our hearts cannot be freed through our knowledge or will power, but by the Holy Spirit that moves in our heart. Brothers and sisters, the Holy Spirit is God living inside us, but are you allowing Him to move inside you? Is the Holy Spirit inside you a rushing river or a puddle of stagnant water? We need to welcome the Holy Spirit to come and manifest the Lord’s authority, not only inside our hearts, but also in the meetings, so that the Holy Spirit may flow freely to accomplish its work. Paul talked about the outcome of having the Holy Spirit move freely. We will be transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory. If you study verse 18 closely, you’d realize that there’s nothing that we don’t already know. Paul said we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness. So how do we become transformed? Paul brought up one point. We are transformed into what we see, which is the basic principle of growth in our lives. Similarly, Paul told us here that the secret to having a more Christ-like life is to be close the Lord and look upon Him every day. The Holy Spirit will move freely in our hearts and accomplish the work of sanctification in our lives. The Spirit transforms us to be ever more like the glorious Father who made us and the Son who redeemed us. In a relationship with Jesus, we are free from the darkness of sin and can boldly enter into the light of God’s presence. Our blindfolds are permanently lifted, allowing us to enjoy and reflect His glory. And as we do, we help to guide those who are still blindfolded to the one who can restore their sight!!!

Father thank You for this day and your Word that sustains our lives. Lord open the floodgates of heaven and rain down Your abundant blessings over my friend and family. Lord we welcome You once again to work inside us. Lord we ask that You manifest Your  authority in the life of everyone who’s reading this devotional. Lord come and draw us to Your throne and shape our lives to be more like You today. Lord use my friend to be the light of your love to all today. Daddy we love You Amen. Be a blessing. Love ya !!
