The Lord endures forever

Psalms‬ ‭135:13

“Your name, Lord, endures forever, your renown, Lord, through all generations.”

When I was young, I thought all roads went on forever. I just assumed there was no end because certain roads where very long, and it made sense in that they just kept going forever. Now, I no longer believe that, but there is a sense of eternity: I know there must be something that lasts forever. That something is God. David pens in Psalm 135:13 that the name of the Lord endures forever. Forever. That does not carry an expiration date. God does not lose glory, His Holy Name is Holy forever. Because He will always be. He will always be there. He will always be active. God’s name lasts forever because He lasts forever. He does not need to be sustained by something else, He will last forever. He’s the one who sustains us and keeps us going. Here’s what the greatest mercy of this is, God lasts forever, so He does not grow tired. He does not need food. He is perfect and strong. He is forever in charge, forever sovereign, forever loving, and forever kind. God has placed His mark on us. We belong to Him. We are a people called by His name, and that precious name is filled with the characteristics of His power, personhood, purpose, and prophetic blessing. As my sweet precious friend Fran would say, “He is Jehovah Jireh our Provider. He plants us beside rivers of living water and causes us to flourish and prosper. He is Jehovah Nissi our banner and point of unity. At the place where we live together in harmony, God commands a blessing. He is our Shepherd the One Who guides. He leads us beside calm waters and causes us to rest in green pastures. He protects His own. He is Jehovah Rophe our Healer. Whatever our ailments or sicknesses, God promises to heal all of our diseases. He is Jehovah M’kaddesh pure and holy. The blood of Jesus cleanses and sanctifies to make us holy like Him. Without holiness, no one will see God. He is Jehovah Shalom the God of peace and wholeness.” That name signifies the cornucopia of heaven blessings in our families, health, relationships, and prosperity. We are a people called by His name and marked by the characteristics of that name. We are born to be blessed. We serve and praise the only true God. God is love and God is good. Our God is gracious and forgiving to those who will trust him and serve him. He will always protect his people and one day give us a home with him in eternity!!!

Father thank You for this day and for Your love, for Your goodness, Your mercy and compassion. Lord let Your abundant blessings flow like a river over my friend and family today. Lord we thank You for making a way for us to be forgiven of our sin. Lord as we see Your power, Your majesty and only imagine Your glory, we are humbled and stand in awe. Lord continue to cleanse us and then use us to carry out Your Will here on earth. Lord use my friend to be the touch of Your love to all today. Daddy we love you amen. Be a blessing. Love ya !
