Galatians‬ ‭3‬:‭26‬-‭29‬

“So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3‬:‭26‬-‭29‬ ‭NIV‬‬

What are we wearing today? I hope we are clothed with Christ. Anything else is simply out of style by heaven’s standards, no matter what designer fashions we may be wearing. We can be clothed with Christ by surrendering our life to Jesus as our Savior through faith, believe that He is God’s Son who died for us, trust that He rose from the dead to give us life, confess Christ as our Lord and Savior trusting Him for our salvation, and share with Him in His death, burial, and resurrection through baptism. He promises to send His Spirit to live inside us and to forgive us from all of our sins. We will be God’s child and have a home waiting for us in heaven. For those of us who are Christians, these thoughts are a reminder of what God has done for us and what He expects of us. If you are not a Christian, the world doesn’t have to be a cold and lonely place, the Lord Jesus can be with you everywhere you go if you will respond to Him. We are children of God, with all the rights of full heirs. Our faith, expressed in our baptism, declares to the world that we are God's children. We have chosen to be clothed in Christ and His righteousness and not depend on earning our own salvation. He is our salvation and hope. He is our life and strength. When we respond to God in faith, He does something pretty dramatic. Our location changes from in the world to in Christ. We are baptized and immersed into Christ, and our reality becomes tightly connected with His. We are clothed with Christ when we are immersed in him. Salvation is not just a matter of pledging allegiance to God. It is taking on the identity of Jesus. Not to say that we become Jesus. But we are wrapped up in Him and He is our all. A significant consequence of this is how it changes our relationship with other people. It is not just us that has been immersed into Christ. But many others have as well. Together, we are all one in Christ. And the differences that have previously divided us should do so no longer. In Jesus there is no male or female, no white, black or brown, no American, Mexican, or any other nationality, Republican, Democrat, or Independent, or anything else that divides us in the world. We are all one in Him and should live that way!!!

Father thank You for this day and what abundant grace and abounding mercy has been extended to us. Lord let your abundant blessings flow over my friend and family today. Father we were once a child of Satan, at enmity with God and bound for hell but in Your grace, You reached down to our sin soaked lowliness, raised me up from the miry pit and placed feet on Christ, the Rock of our salvation. Lord thank You that by faith in You we’ve might be called a child of God. Lord use my friend to be the salt and light of Your Word to all today. Daddy we love You amen. Be a blessing. Love ya !!
