Purposed plan

“The Lord Almighty has sworn, “Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will happen.”

Have you ever had a great plan that never actually worked out how you anticipated? Of course you have.  It is so stinking frustrating when things do not go as planned. This is something that God never has to worry about. His plans are perfect and always work out just like He envisioned. Plans are made everyday by people all over the world. Some people make plans just for that day, while others plan out the whole year or more. Planning out something is usually a good thing to do. Setting down a path for education, or how to get into a specific career path, or raising a family are just a few common events that people often plan for. In each of these, and many others, there are multiple steps to get the desired achievement. The challenging part is that often there are many obstacles to overcome during the process of achieving the desired plans. There are times when things come up that completely change the plans, making them unachievable. So this isn’t just a guess about the future, this is a promise about the future. The reason we know it’s a promise is because God, whatever He plans and whatever He purposes, He accomplishes. God has all power, all authority. It means that He, in His providence, plans and purposes certain things, and He brings those things to pass. We know that that’s His purpose and it will happen. We know that God plans to preserve His people to the end, to bring them into full and final redemption, into communion with Him forever in Heaven. That’s not just a maybe this will happen in the future, that’s a definite this will happen in the future, because God has planned it. He has purposed it, and it shall be. It shall stand. He promises so many different things, and we can trust in those promises because Hecis sovereign. What He says happens, period. What He says He will do. He will be faithful to do. So just think about His promises in your life. I think about promises that God will be with us in the midst of the struggle, that God will strengthen us, and He will help us, and He will uphold us. We can know He will do these things. I can only imagine some of the people who are reading this right now are walking through some difficult things right now, and maybe even uncertainty. You don’t know what’s going to happen today, or tomorrow, or next week in your life, or your family, or your workplace, or whatever it might be. I just want to encourage you, in a world that is filled with uncertainty, look up and see the God who is certain. The God who plans and purposes!!!

Father thank You for this day and the promises we can stand on in Your Word. Lord let Your abundant blessings flow like a waterfall over my friend and family today. Lord we pray today that we will know Your plans for our lives. Lord we pray that You will guide our every step. Lord we pray that You will strengthen us to do Your work in this world and that we will be a witness of who You are today. Lord use my friend to be Your light and love to all today.
