Psalms‬ 86:15

“But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.” Psalms‬ 86:15‬ NIV‬‬

Many of us place our trust in people. We draw strength from them. We think too highly of some of them and place them on pedestals, only to watch them come tumbling down. Only God is capable of total love and care. His love is constant. He will never disappoint us. Our heavenly Father is abundantly patient with us. So vast is His love that our hearts can always be filled with His affection. So perfect is His leadership and wisdom that He makes available to us a perfect and pleasing life through every season. And yet He is patient to guide us into the fullness of life afforded to us by Christ’s sacrifice. He waits, sweetly beckoning us to simply trust Him and cultivate a heart of constant communion with Him. God knows all, sees all, and is always near even when we sin. If we fall on Him and repent open heartily, He is so ready and willing to offer His mercy and forgiveness. Why? Because He loves us more than we could ever imagine. Our incredibly Lord is over flowing with compassion and abundant in truth. What more could we even ask for? God was compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in love, how much more should we grasp it. Especially as we have the opportunity of reading the gospels, where we see Jesus, the exact representation of God’s being. May we, as the bride of Christ, turn our feet toward the home of our Father and confess our need of Him May we humble ourselves before a God who is both patient and powerful. And may we allow Him to pick us up off our knees, clothe us with honor and love, and wrap us up in His grace-filled arms. Your God is patient toward you, waiting with expectation in His heart for what He can do in your life. Receive the love He longs to give and experience the abundant life that comes only through restored relationship with your patient Father. God loves His children. God loves us. The LORD God’s love has no end, it has no limit, for our infinite God is love. Seek the Lord with all your heart, seek the Lord and experience His love today!!!

Father thank You for this day and Your compassionate gracious love and faithfulness. Lord open the floodgates of heaven and pour out Your abundant blessings over my friend and family today. Lord help us to know the depth of Your love. Lord allow Your patience to draw us into the deeper places of Your heart. Lord we want to receive Your presence and rest in the knowledge of Your love. Lord let Your love wash away any shame or guilt that would keep us from experiencing the full breadth of Your affection. lord use my friend to boldly share Your Word to all today.
