“Restore us, O God; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved. Restore us, God Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved. Restore us, Lord God Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.”
Psalms 80:3, 7, 19 NIV
Now, this verse is repeated multiple times in Psalm, chapter 80. Verse 3 says, “Restore us, oh God. Let Your face shine that we may be saved.” Verse 7, “Restore us, oh God of hosts. Let Your face shine that we may be saved.” Verse 19 “Restore us, oh Lord God of hosts. Let Your face shine that we may be saved.” Though we do not deserve salvation, God has graciously delivered and saved us from our sins. Do you long for restoration of all that the enemy has taken from you? Often I look back and see how I made it so easy for the enemy to come in and create chaos and destruction. And other times the answer is not clear and I know that I will never fully have an answer to my why question. This broken sinful world can dish up pain on a level that only a few of us can understand fully, but we all should hold space to hear and empathize. No matter if the answer is clear on why and how the circumstances came about God wants to work in the situation. He wants to bless us, grow us, and bring about an abundance of glory and Kingdom impact for His namesake. He wants us to have peace and faith in Him to craft the outcomes as He so chooses. Let's choose today to ask God for restoration of all that has been stolen from us by the enemy and by our own brokenness, sin and disobedience. Let's choose today to learn God's Kingdom principals for blessings like tithing, sowing seeds of compassion, forgiveness, attitudes of gratitude, humbleness, and a focused mind to learn and work with vigor and a mind to serve Christ. Because Jesus will heal, redeem, restore, and transform all those who willingly submit to Him. The beauty of God’s Grace is that when we do come to Him with a heart of repentance, He offers forgiveness and shows us that His Grace trumps all sin!!!
