Psalm‬ 103:17-18, 22

“But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children’s children, to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments. Bless the Lord, all his works, in all places of his dominion. Bless the Lord, O my soul!”

Psalm‬ 103:17-18, 22‬ ESV‬‬

God has given us the gift of borders. As long as we live within the boundaries He has designated in His Word, we receive His blessings, His provision and protection. The moment that we step across and outside of those borders, we stand against His will and undefended. As believers, we know from Scripture that we will face many difficulties, hardships, and persecution. During our greatest suffering, we may be tempted to question God’s goodness or sovereignty or both. But even during trials, when we meditate on the everlasting mercy of God, our hearts will be stirred to praise His name. David knew firsthand the awfulness of his own sin and the joyfulness of being forgiven by God The promise of God’s steadfast love is that we will endure, and He will forgive our sin. What is meant by steadfast love? In the Hebrew, steadfast love is a single word that may also be translated as covenant faithfulness. By declaring that God’s steadfast love is everlasting, David reminds himself that God will always be faithful to the covenant He made with His people—both to judge sin and to forgive sin. That is, He will always be the Lord who keeps His covenant and upholds His commitments to His people. But in these verses, David’s focus is on God’s covenant faithfulness to forgive the sins of those who fear Him, keep His covenant, and obey Him. God maintained covenant faithfulness, His infinite covenant love, by sending Jesus to take on our humanity. Jesus feared God and kept the covenant. He obeyed every command, and at the cross, He received the curses for covenant breaking. This is the steadfast love of the Lord. He alone keeps the covenant. Unlike our fragile, temporary lives, God’s steadfast love is everlasting. His mercies are new every morning, and they will never end. Remembering and meditating on this infinite covenant love should stir in us a heart of praise and thanksgiving. With David, we can sing, Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name!!!

Father thank You for this day and Your unfailing steadfast love. Lord let Your abundant blessings pour from Your storehouses over my friend and family today. Lord may You bless us and keep us. may You make Your face to shine upon us and give us Your peace. Lord take us through the problem to the provision. Lord help us, with bold, relentless faith, go straight through the problem and receive the promise of God. Let this day and the days that follow be days of triumph and victory because Of You Lord who is faithful and who will never fail us. Lord use my friend to be the light of Your steadfast love to all today. Daddy we love you amen. Be a blessing. Love you !
