Isaiah 26:12
“Lord, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us.”
Isaiah 26:12 NIV
This verse is about peace between us and God. There will still be struggles, strife, trials, and conflicts in life. We will not always have peace with others, or peace with the world. However, having peace with God establishes peace within, removes fears, and allows us to work through our life with joy and faith and hope. God, by His Spirit, creates peace. He causes it to happen and He creates it in us. I’m not just talking about peace with God. The peace He creates in us is peace of mind, a peace that springs up and flows within, healing, stabilizing, building confidence. When we have such peace, we stop trying to play God. We stop trying to solve our problems and everyone else’s. We stop playing over in our mind what might happen, what fearful thing might come to pass. Instead, we bring every thought into captivity. We are able to do this because we stand in the peace God has created in us. We begin to trust and accept His love and we start believing the promises of His Word. I think we could use a little of that today. With Covid-19, ongoing debates over the election, the strains of our financial worlds in the balance, we have lots of things that could rob us of peace. Jesus on the other hand, well, Jesus grants us peace. Not matter what is going on in our lives or what we face, He imparts that peace to us. We do need to accept it though. The peace we have from Jesus isn’t magical per se. It is an invitation. We are invited into the peace He gives us, but we must stop and acknowledge something. Everything we have in our lives, our families, jobs, homes, are from God. Sure, we have done the work in so many of these areas of our lives, but ultimately, He has set the pieces in place for us to have them. If He has given us this much, how much more might Hecgive us? So, when it comes to the peace of Jesus, why won’t we accept it by understanding that everything we have is His. And everything that worries us, He can handle. Today, spend some time thanking God for all that you have in your life. Praise Him for his goodness. And rest assured that He values you and your life a great deal. Then you can rest in the peace of the Lord!!!
Father thank You for this day and how precious to know that You have always had a remnant that is true to the gospel of God, despite many in Christendom following after false gods and unbiblical doctrines. Lord open the floodgates of heaven and rain down Your abundance over my friend and family today. Lord no matter what path others choose to take, we pray that You would keep us planted on the Rock of our salvation. Lord help us to walk in the way of righteousness, for Your name's sake and for Your greater glory. Lord thank You for the scriptures that remind us of the importance of looking to You, moment by moment, in spirit and in truth. Lord use my friend to someone’ blessing today. Daddy we love You amen. Be a blessing. Love ya !!!
