OUR WEAKNESS, CHRIST'S  STRENGTH

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

And He said to me. "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, NKJV

We wil experience the pomer of God in our lives when our hearts catch fire with the Holy Spirit. His power enables as to be His witness throughout the world, accomplishing a mission we cannot carry out in our own strength.

Men and women throughout the centuries have been able to accomplish more than they have imagined because the power of the Holy Spirit was at work in their lives. In this generation, we need Spirit-filled believers with hearts on fire who are wiling to step beyond the boundaries of their own abilities.

We need believers who dare to do great and mighty works in the name of Christ and in His power as He leads them in life. Instead of living by fear, we must live by faith in what God says in His Word. Instead of falling into despair, we must engage in hope in the promises of God, instead of worrying in our circumstances, we must be bold and courageous in the power of God.

Perhaps we will resolve to be one of the weak ones who hold to the promise of God for His power perfected in weakness, declaring with Paul, "When I am weak, then I am strong!" and adding, "I can't, but He can!" Oh that you and I could display that kind of dependence! But it isn't so far-fetched. It just takes intentional effort each time our weaknesses or hardships come into view.

Effort to forsake dependence on ourselves and put our trust in God alone. Did you notice that the more Paul boasts in his weaknesses, the more Christ's power rests on him? And the same is true for us!!!

Father, thank You for this day and the strength and grace to walk in it, Lord, pour our Your abundant blessings over us and our family today, Lord, open our eyes to how our weaknesses give You the opportunity to show others Your power through our witness, Lord, remind us that others are watching how we respond to the troubles and trials of life, and that they are looking for strength to overcome their own problems. Lord, use our lives to encourage others. Lord, use us to bless others through our hardships, and help us to smile and continue being faithful in spite of our weaknesses.

Father, we love You. Amen.
