Jeremiah 31:3
“The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.“
Jeremiah 31:3 NIV
His love for us will continue for all eternity. It never decreases or subsides. At all times, in all conditions, regardless of who we are or what we have done, God loves us. Moreover, the Lord is constantly drawing us to Himself that we might know Him on a personal level and experience the fullness of His love for us.
God's love for us is steadfast and never changes. Regardless of what place we have found ourselves in our relationship with Christ, He is always going to assure us with the same promise of being restored.
This is something that the nation of Israel had experienced countless times and yet through each downfall, God remained faithful to His people. As God's children, He will never stop pursuing us and calling us to forsake sin's snares and follow after Him.
It's His love that should stir up in our hearts a strong desire to keep living a life that honors and pleases Him. His desire is to use each and every one of us for His purpose and Glory. God’s goodness is what ultimately leads us to repentance and an understanding that we are in need of a loving Savior and relationship with Him.
When God is tugging at the strings of your heart, do not ignore His plea to bring you back to Him. Understand that it’s only through an ongoing relationship with Him that our lives are filled and have true meaning. The voice of the prophet still speaks to us today.
In a time when turmoil is mounting and riots are breaking out, we are reminded that in the end God will set all things right. We will one day live in peace with no suffering and no more tears. We will walk with the Lord and the light of His glory will outshine the sun. Do not lose hope in our eternal promise.
We may know that God loves us in our heads, but He desires for this revelation to seep into every fabric of our being. Love is meant to be experienced, not only intellectually understood. All that Father does is motivated by His everlasting love for us.
A love that is perpetual, unending, and eternal. He has drawn us with a loving-kindness that will never run out or dry up. Father's everlasting love has always been there and will always be there. There is nothing we can do to make God love us any more than He does right now and there is nothing that we can do to make God love us any less than He does right now.
It is difficult for us to be able to comprehend this kind of unconditional love and acceptance. Take great comfort in knowing that God loves you with an everlasting love, and that His love forgives, protects, hopes, and rejoices in the truth.
There may be times when you don’t feel as if anyone loves you, including God. God may appear to be far away and distant from you, not very loving.
Do not forget that God still does love you. He is being kind to you, not giving you what you deserve, but drawing you to Him to restore you and pour His love into you.
Regardless of what you have done in the past, how much you have sinned, God still loves you. You can return to Him and be changed and used by God.
Whether anyone in this world loves you or not, God does love you with an everlasting and perfect love. Be assured of His extravagant love and that he is always working in your life in love!!!
