Jesus; The Name Above All Names

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬-‭10

“Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,“

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We can easily grow disheartened when we view the depravity and sin that surrounds us. Troubling events in our world may distress us but there is coming a day when every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Sometimes less is more. Today's scripture may be few in words, but the words used hold more than all the words mankind has ever uttered or even thought of.

There truly is no MORE-no greater name than the Name of Jesus.

There is no other name by which a sin soaked world is healed. There is no other name by which we can be saved. The Name of Jesus, there is no other Name which evokes such authority yet imparts such unspeakable love and mercy. The Name of Jesus is above all other names, above all principalities and above all powers.

The Name of Jesus, that precious Name, will forever be our banner... in battle, in victory, in sweet retreat, in triumph. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, there  is something about that name. When doubt or fear overwhelms you, just begin to speak the Name that is above every name the Name of Jesus. When we think of Jesus, our thoughts should be enormous, without boundaries inexhaustible, incomprehensible, unmatchable, and unfathomable.

The life of the Christian should reflect his Lord. The attitude of Jesus should be mirrored in the life of every believer, and yet His was a life of deep pain and intense suffering. His was a life of humiliation, rejection, betrayal, and death. But His life of humiliation and death preceded His glorious resurrection and exaltation. We too must share in His suffering, and die to self, if we are to live in newness of life and become a lovely reflection of the beautiful Lord Jesus.

May today's few Words be the richest Words you've ever read, the name of Jesus is more than enough. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, there is something special about Your Name.As our lips speak forth Your Name, our hearts are overjoyed at the awareness of Your presence.

Oh, how we love the name of Jesus, it is honey on our lips, sweet, pure, and nourishing to our soul. May our mouths ever show forth Your praise and our hearts sing of Your goodness today and every day!!!

Father, thank you for this day and Your amazing grace. Lord, let Your abundant blessings flow from the floodgates of heaven over my friend and family today. Lord, your name is wonderful! Your sacrifice for our sins was so loving and generous. Lord, we're so thankful that our Father raised you from the dead and that through You, we will be able to be with God and worship You all of eternity! Lord, You are glorious. Lord use us to be a bold witness of Your saving grace to all they meet today.

Father, we love You amen.
