IMMOVABLE FOUNDATION

Psalm 143:8-10

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. Rescue me from my enemies, LoRD, for I hide myself in you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground. Psalm 143:8-10, NIV

This is how we should trust in God as our only refuge and our only hope. This should be our daily prayer: "Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God." Our hearts should long for the loving kindness of God. To hear Him speak in words of steadfast love. Each day without delay our hearts should call out to God.

To seek His guidance in the way we should walk, that our lives would bring Him honor and glory. God's divine guidance is surely indispensable, for only a Christ-driven life is effective, enjoyable, and pleasing to God. In Christ we have peace and security. Under His wings we can find comfort and refuge from the threat of our enemies. Christ is our rescuer and protector. Only in the Lord should we trust.

Therefore, it should be our deepest desire to know the will of God, and to have a heart to obey God's will, for He is our God and Lord over our lives. In our life journey here on earth, there will be good times and bad, but through it all, with God as our guide, we will make it through the trials and tribulations.

But how can God teach us His ways so that we walk in His ways? Well, God has laid out His plan and purposes for us in His Word, and the Bible should be the immovable foundation upon which our trust in God is founded. He clearly lays out the path that we are to follow, and we should read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest the Word of God with an undivided heart, so that in the power of the Holy Spirit we may grow in grace and in knowledge of the Lord Jesus, for this is the will of God in each of our lives: that we should know God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent. Father, thank You for this day and Your amazing grace. Lord, open the floodgates of heaven and rain down Your abundant blessings upon us and our family today. Lord, we commit ourselves to You and to Your Word each day. Lord, we trust You to lead us through every difficult situation we face. Lord, we ask for Your guidance and direction every step of the way, and we promise to do our best to give ourselves wholeheartedly to Your ways. Lord, use us to be the light of Your love to all whom we meet today.
