Psalms 32:8
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.“ Psalms 32:8 NIV
In life, there’s a difference between things that are just ok and things that are the best. The same is true with God. There are ok pathways you can take for your life. Many decisions aren’t bad, they just aren’t the best. God wants to show you the best path for your life.
Finding that best pathway takes spending time with God. You’ve got to be open to what He has to say and not be too busy with social media or Netflix to hear Him. Spending time with God helps you know Him better and be ready to hear what He has to say. He knows you better than anyone. He knows what things will bring you peace.
If you'll trust Him and His leading, you'll be able to go down the best pathway for your life. So today, decide to lay aside those things that are keeping you from spending time with God. Choose to be real with Him and let Him show you the best path for your life.
Everyone needs direction in life. God is willing to teach, instruct and guide us. The promise in this verse is God's provision for those who are willing to receive Him by faith and follow His leading. Let’s listen to what God says He will do if we are willing to be taught by Him and follow Him.
He will instruct us. He will teach us in the way we should go. He will counsel us with His eyes on us. It is the Lord's desire to teach us in the way in which He would have us to go. His way is submission and obedience to His Word and His authority.
As a believer, we must seek and obey with humility, live in holiness, walk daily with integrity. We need to be honest in our dealings with one another and faithful to God and the task that He has assigned to our hands, just to name a few.
God did not save us to live life as we please. There is a standard of living for us Christians in which God has established for us to live by in His Word. Direction is important for without it we get lost. Many are lost today because they refuse to be taught by God, but instead by self. They refuse to go the way in which God has already mapped out for them in His Word and they refuse to be counseled by God and be guided by God's eyes. Instead they chose to be instructed and guided by what their eyes see in the world and follow after that counsel.
Man can instruct, but it is only God through His Holy Spirit who can make us understand truth for God says “I will make thee understand that which shall be done by Me.” As God continues to teach and instruct us in the ways of salvation, He promises to keep a watchful eye on us. He will not leave us to ourselves for He knows without His direction and His watchful eyes upon us, like sheep, we will stray away from the path of righteousness.
Looking for direction in life? Not sure about how to travel down the road of Salvation once you have accepted Christ? Get in the Word of God, pray and seek the Lord's face for He promises to teach, instruct and keep a watchful eye over us.
Allow God to have control over your life, your money, your family, and even your relationships. No one knows how to take better care of us than the one who created us!!!
Father, thank You for Your Word that sustains us as we walk in this day. Lord, let Your abundant blessings fall upon my friend and family from the windows of heaven. Lord, You are our hiding place. You are the One we seek. You are the protection we need. We yearn for Your advice, guidance, and Your help. Show me which way to turn. Lord, You are the victory we seek. Lord use us to be the touch of Your love to all today. Be a blessing.
Father, we love You. Amen !
