God’s Peace: His Name Jesus

‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭27‬ ‭

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Holy Spirit, our Comforter and Counselor, will bring us peace. This peace is not an absence of difficulties, an end to all strife, or the cessation of all disagreements. We know that those problems will not disappear in our fallen world as we know it now.

However, the gift of God's presence, the gift of Jesus' guidance, and the blessing of the Holy Spirit mean that we can have peace in our storms, struggles, and fallen world. God is present within us to guide, strengthen, comfort, lead, inspire, motivate, and bless. We are not alone as we face every challenge of life because God is not only with us, but He is within us.

Jesus return to heaven is not a loss of peace or his abandonment of us. It is His going away so that the Father can send us the gift of the Holy Spirit, who brings us God's peace.

Yes, there are crazy things happening in the world, and yes those things can seem scary and overwhelming at times, but our response as Christians shouldn't be fear. Jesus promised us peace.

We have peace, peace and wonderful peace with God, because we are saved. Through believing on Christ's finished work of redemption, we have peace with God, for Christ is the propitiation for our sins Who made peace with God on our behalf.

We have peace, peace the wonderful peace of God that passes understanding, even through days of deep distress and troublous times, when we submit to His leading and follow His example, by saying: "Not my will but Thine be done."

We have peace, peace the wonderful peace of Christ's own perfect peace, for we are in eternal union with our Saviour and we can enjoy precious communion with the Father as we walk in spirit and truth.

There is no rest outside of Him and there is no hope unless we are reconciled to the Father through Christ Jesus Who gave His own little flock His gift of peace, peace wonderful peace, when He said, "My Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you."

Peace comes from seeing life, death and eternity from an eternal perspective. This world is passing, but we have a home with God forever. We can face life steadily through Christ's strength. We need not escape through worldly means. We either have this peace from Christ or we do not. We should examine ourselves. If we lack peace, we should rush to Christ for forgiveness and new life.

May the God of peace be with you, as you rest and remain and abide in Christ's peace His wonderful, wonderful peace!!!

Father thank You for this day and that we have peace with You, and we are now Your children and have Your perfect peace in our hearts. Lord let Your abundant blessings flow from the storehouses of heaven upon my friend and family today. Lord thank You, that You are our Peace, our wonderful peace, Whose Spirit is forever dwelling within us. Lord may we shed abroad Your wonderful peace to all we meet today. Be a blessing.

Father, we love You. Amen !
