Jeremiah 33:2-3
”This is God’s Message, the God who made earth, made it livable and lasting, known everywhere as God: ‘Call to me and I will answer you. I’ll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.’”
Jeremiah 33:2-3 MSG
Did you hear that? This is God speaking to His people in the book of Jeremiah saying call to Me. This is an invitation from God. Call out to Me and I will answer you. Just imagine being Jeremiah, hearing this invitation from God. Call to me Jeremiah and I will speak to you.
I, the God of the universe, will speak to you, and I’m going to tell you great things that you’ve not known. I’m going to tell you hidden things that you would not know any other way apart from calling to Me and Me answering you, what an invitation.
It all begs the question are you and I taking advantage of this invitation? Are you and I responding to this invitation? This is an invitation for you and me today. This is why we get up out of bed in the morning, maybe even before we get out of bed, but as soon as we get out of bed, as soon as possible in our day, we come before the Lord and we call out to Him.
Why would we go on through our day and spend so much time day after day after day, just doing stuff in this world when we’ve been invited in the middle of it all to call out to the God over this world and to hear and receive, to be answered with great and hidden things that we have not known.
In a universe of billions of stars, think of the power of God who made them and knows each of their names. Think of all He knows that we don't. Think of all He has seen that is not in our history books. Think of all He has done and can do.
Add to this that He invites us to speak to him about the things of our heart and you understand the great expanse of His grace and the very limited knowledge of our minds.
The verse reminds us that God, who created and established the earth, is the same God who will answer our prayers and reveal things we cannot know on our own. These verses encourages us to call upon Him, knowing He will not only respond but also share great and unsearchable things.
Make God the first resort rather than the last. He doesn’t always reveal His plans all at once but the more we put our trust in Him the more we see Him guiding us in the right direction!!!
Father thank You for this day and that You are a good and faithful God Whose Word stands fast forever and ever. Lord open the windows of heaven and pour out Your abundant blessings over my friend and family today. Lord thank You that all Your promises to us remain 'yes' and 'amen' in You. Lord thank You that You are a listening God Who hears the calls and cries of Your people, and thank You for the many precious promises that will never fail, because You are faithful and true to Your Word. Lord help us embrace our faith so we might distinguish Your voice from all others around us. Walk with us today. Lord use my friend to be someone’s blessing today.
Fathers, we love You. Amen !
