Psalm 19:1-2
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.
Psalm 19:1-2, NIV
We don’t always need words to get our mesage across. The skies "pour forth speech" and "reveal knowledge" but have no words; nevertheless, "their voice goes out into all the earth." God's handiwork is revealed to all.
From the busiest, crowded city to the remotest, inaccessible places of the world, God has made it possible for everyone to know Him. Likewise, our lives speak to those around us, whether we use words or not. The way we spend our time, the way we spend our money, and tell people what we value pours forth a message.
God's presence in our lives also speaks to those around us. The fruit of His Spirit within us will touch others with its sweetness. His refining work in our lives speaks volumes. Many ignore the declaration of the glory of God in His handiwork, and they will ignore it in our lives too.
However, its not our job to convict others of their need for God, but rather for our lives to show how good it is to live under God's government—to create curiosity, desire, and a longing for something more. Yet, if we're not convinced God's way is best, that His love is sufficient and His purposes good, then we won't attract anyone else to this way of life.
Our words will never be enough; there has to be a lifestyle that matches our beliefs. God speaks continually in His creation, sending forth a message to us about Himself. You learn about His craftsmanship and limitless all-powerful ability just by looking at what He has made. As you gaze on all He has created, you hear and see the wondrous declarations of His glory!!!
Father, thank You for this day and setting us on our journey through Your created path. Lord, open the windows of heaven and shine down Your abundant blessings upon us and our family today. Lord, Creator of the countless heavens and our own small blue planet, thank You for noticing the heart cries of us who are so small in a universe so large. Lord, we love You, admire You, trust You, and worship You with wonder. Lord, be exalted in our lives, our words, and our deeds this day. Lord, use us to be a bold witness of Your saving grace to all we meet today.
Father, we love You. Amen !
