God’s forgiveness

Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭25

“I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭25‬ ‭NIV‬‬

God is Holy, and God is righteous, His Word never fails, and His plans stand firm forever. The intentions of the Lord can never be shaken, and He is a God that remembers His covenant promises to all His people. The words of the Lord are faithful and true, and they are commanded and guaranteed to a thousand generations. When God forgives us, He blots out the record. It is clean. It is just as though that which was forgiven had never taken place. Not only does He blot out the record, but He blots it out from His own memory. He says that He will remember our sins no more. God does not have a bad memory, but He does have the ability to forget. And when He forgives, He forgets. It is for God's own sake and for the sake of His Holy Name that God will never break His promises to Israel. Praise God that in like manner, He will never break His many precious promises to His Church, which is the Body of Christ, for they are all yes and amen in Him. Every person on this earth has made the choice to sin against God as they began to grow up. At some point in their lives many people have chosen to accept Jesus into their life and be forgiven of those sins. However, because of their being human, all will make the mistake of sinning against God at times, despite their following Jesus. Most believers are willing to go before Jesus to ask for forgiveness. During the Sunday morning service they feel the Holy Spirit point out some sin in their life, and so they go to the altar asking for forgiveness. God, in His great love and mercy, forgives immediately and forgets that sin. Many, however, remember that sin. Suddenly they feel that they cannot be loved by God anymore because of that sin. This happens more often when the sin has been done more than once. People condemn themselves for past sins and do not allow themselves to forgive themselves. God is always right there waiting to blot out sins. It is one of His greatest desires to do. It was Him that sent Jesus to the cross, because that meant He could forgive everyone of their sins. When the times arrive where you may start to remember a past sin, and wonder if you were forgiven, stop, repent and turn from your sin and know that God has forgiven you. Do not be like many and seek forgiveness a hundred times for the same sin. Once repented of that sin is gone. God no longer remembers it. You can walk in joy and peace knowing that you are clean before God, once you have repented of a sin. You are not above God. Someone remarked once that when God casts your sins into the sea, He puts up a notice that says, No Fishing. Don’t ever try to go back and resurrect something that God has buried. If God has forgiven you, you are forgiven. There are no questions. God’s forgiveness is total. If God can forget your sin, you must also forget it. Let it go in the past once repented of it. Live the life God is giving you abundantly!!!

Father thank You for this day and Your faithful promises to Your people Israel, thank You for Your faithful promises the Church, and thank You for Your faithful promises to us. Lord pour out your abundant blessings upon my friend and family today. Lord thank You, Father that Your wrath against our sin was poured out on the Lord Jesus in our stead, and that in Him our sins are not longer remembered. Lord help us to fully appreciate that we have been cleansed and made whole through the precious blood of your son, Jesus Christ. Lord may we show our gratitude by serving you in spirit and in truth. Lord use my friend to be someone’s blessing today. Daddy we love You amen. Be a blessing. Love ya !
