Luke 24:30-32
“And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?”
Luke 24:30-32 KJV
In today’s Bible verse we see that the disciples were talking with Jesus on the road. During the walk, Jesus was sharing with them the truth from scripture. The disciples described it as having their hearts burning within them as Jesus talked to them and taught them.
It was exactly what they needed to hear. The scriptures helped them understand what they were going through. The same is true for you and I. If we will get into the Bible and read it, it will show us exactly what we need to hear.
These men walked with Jesus on the way and heard the Scriptures opened up to them by the Lord Jesus Himself. But we also read in Scripture blessed are those that have not seen the risen Lord Jesus, walked with Him by the way, or pushed their fingers into the wounds in His hands, and yet have believed.
May we never forget that we are to live by faith and not by sight and to trust in the Word of God, for His greater praise and glory.
So get into God’s word. Let it speak truth into your life and know that it is powerful. Believe that it will be what you need to hear for what you’re facing today!!!
Father thank You for this day and Your Word and the wonderful truths that we read in its pages. Lord pour out Your abundant blessings upon my friend and family today. Lord we praise You that every prophetic word relating to Your Second Coming cannot fail, for Your Word is faithful and true. Lord thank You for the witness of those two disciples on the road to Emmaus and the reminder that even when doubts appear in our hearts, You remain faithful to Your promises. Lord use my friend to be the light of Your love to all today.
Father we love You. Amen !
