ESTABLISHED STEPS

Psalm 37:23-24

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand. Psalm 37:23-24, NKJV

It is amazing to know that as a child of God, He directs, orders, and establishes our goings. That is, the Lord always leads us to the things that will cause us to glorify Him and will ultimately be for our good. This requires that we understand that He will always do what is best for us regardless of what it takes for us to either be corrected by chastisement or trials, which will produce strength and endurance in us.

It is necessary for each of us to fully accept that the Lord sovereignly controls our lives. He always knows what is best for us. We sometimes get beside ourselves and think that we know what is best, only to lead ourselves down a path to trouble. The Lord always knows how to get us back on track. The lives of God's children are precious to Him. He will direct our steps around danger, and He can protect us in the midst of danger. He omnipotently and omnisciently takes us through the course of life and guides us through the doom and disasters of life into His presence.

Our steps are ordered! God is calling us to realize that though we cannot see Him, God expects us to trust that He is working out His plan and purpose in our lives. He is sovereign and perfectly in control. The details here are important, and the more we notice God in all the details, the more we will trust Him moment by moment.

We will begin to notice His hand in everything in our lives. He is the master artist and author, always painting in the fine color and detail of God-ordained moments where He connects all the dots and writes new chapters in the story of life!!!

Father, thank You for this day and for guiding our steps through it. Lord, let Your abundant blessings be our family's portion today. Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness to us through all our faithful and unfaithful days, through all our obedience and disobedience. Lord, set our feet to stand firm in any uncertainties of this life. Lord, help us to believe that in the uncertainty of life, You are the God of certainty, and You are in control of everything. Lord, use us to be the blessing someone needs today.
