Come boldly and draw near

 Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭19‬-‭22‬

“Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭19‬-‭22‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Because of Christ’s work, we can have confidence to approach God in a way that was never before thought possible. The priests in the Old Testament were fearful to enter the holy places to offer their daily sacrifice. It is said that they put bells on them so they could hear them moving about and tied cords to them in the event a wrong move or some impurity proved deadly. This was compounded even more by the high priest who entered the Holy of Holies once a year. Entering the presence of God was a fearful and sometimes deadly thing. But we have a new and living way based on a better sacrifice. We enter through the blood of Jesus. As a result we can come before God with confidence and assurance that we are accepted. Our hearts have been sprinkled clean from guilt and an evil conscience. Our bodies have been washed clean. To those who understand this text, it becomes the basis of a powerful life of prayer and worship. Every believer has instant and continual access to God’s presence. He is not restricted to a temple, He is omnipresent. The mystery of prayer in the Spirit is that we are lifted to the very throne room of God in the heavenly realm. Those who are born again and know Jesus as Savior and Lord can enter boldly before the throne of grace. We are invited to draw near with confidence. One indication of a truly Spirit filled man or woman shows up in their prayer and worship. They know and practice communion with God through His Spirit. They begin to dwell in the shelter of the Most High and abide in the shadow of the Almighty. It is as born-again believers that we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus. In Him we have the right to enter by a new a living way, which the Lord Jesus, Himself inaugurated for us through the veil, that is His flesh. And since we have a great priest over the house of God let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Our relationship with God is direct, and is unique and personal for every believer. We can and should draw near to the house of God, so that we can gain a clean conscience, and walk in faith. We can persevere in our lives here on earth, even through suffering and hardship!!!

Father thank You for this day and we praise and thank You that we have confidence to enter the holy place through the blood of Jesus, which has washed us clean of our sins and cleansed our hearts by faith. Lord open the windows of your abundant blessings and let them flow upon my friend and family today. Lord thank You that You are our great High Priest and that we have access to God through the new and living way. Lord we pray that we may draw nearer to You with every passing day so that our hearts may continue to be sprinkled clean from an evil conscience so that we may walk in newness of life in You. Lord use my friend boldly proclaim Your unfailing love to all today. Daddy we love you amen. Be a blessing. Love ya !!
