COME BOLDLY

Hebrews 4:16

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16, NKJV

Life can be filled with all kinds of dilemmas that can leave us in a state of confusion and despair. We are often hit with disappointments in life that can be very debilitating. When we are hit with intense adversity in this life, it is so comforting to know that our great High Priest endured pain and despair just as we do.

Therefore, we are able to confidently approach God's throne of grace where we can receive the strength we need to keep moving forward. It is impossible to try to make it through this life without the grace that God provides for us in order to make it. We are helpless, and when we rely on our own ability to pull ourselves through, we will ultimately fail.

We often hear clichés that tell us to "pull ourselves up by our bootstraps." Nowhere in Scripture does God tell us to do that. He tells us to trust in Him with all our hearts. He then provides the grace we need in our weaknesses. Be strengthened and encouraged in Christ. The call today is to draw near to the throne of God in prayer with confidence and assurance, so that we may find the help we need. People of God, we must daily remind ourselves of this one thing: our God is "God of the impossible." Nothing is too hard for Him.

The Lord our God is declaring to us today that He is our help in our time of need; therefore, if we come, we are promised to find grace and mercy at His throne. Searching for peace in a world full of chaos and confusion? Come boldly to God's throne of grace. Searching for love and hope? Come boldly to God's throne of grace in prayer.

When we suffer, the enemy of our mind often comes to us with thoughts that are contrary to God's Word in his attempt to convince us that God doesn't care about us and that is why we suffer and He will not answer us, so we should stop wasting our time with these worthless prayers. The devil is a liar! Keep praying! Trust God! At God's appointed time, He will answer! He promised us in this text that when we come in prayer, we will find the grace and mercy we need. Keep praying, people of God!!!

Father, thank You for this day and the blessing of mercy and grace when we need it. Lord, open the floodgates of Your abundant blessings, let them flood over us and our family today. Lord, help us to come boldly unto Your throne of grace daily. Lord, we receive your mercy and grace for every area of our life. Lord, help us to realize that You are there and ready to help us out with anything we need in accordance with Your will. Lord, help us to take comfort in the fact that we've got grace to help us in our time of need. Lord, use us to be the touch of Your mercy and grace to all we meet today.
