Psalm 138:3
In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul. Psalm 138:3, NKJV
The Fruit of confident prayer is bold living! David developed a consistent history with the God of answered prayer. From his earliest days as a shepherd, David lived before the Lord in a life of prayer and worship. He experienced God's faithfulness when he prayed and knew the great strength of the Lord to give the victory. Because of this triumphant history with God, even in his youth David was transformed into a bold and stouthearted man.
Natural circumstances were not enough to cause him to shrink back because of this impartation of boldness that God had placed in his life through prayer. David displayed an absolute confidence in God as he boldly rushed in to confront Goliath in the faith of the Lord. He declared his victory before he even entered the battle, and then charged into the conflict in the strength of his history with God!
Are we developing a history in God? Are we gaining a rich experience of God's victory being displayed in our life as we pray and obey? 'The more we partner with God and see His power expressed both in and through us, the more that boldness will overtake us. The more we are transformed in our character so our conscience allows us to stand before God with confidence, the more we will have strength to stand against our enemies in the name of the Lord.
A confident life before God will always translate into a confident life before man in due time. Today, as we meditate on God's Word, let's turn our eyes to the possibilities that exist in God's answer. Let us consider and give way to hope in God. Let God make us into a bold representative of His name and His kingdom as we develop our life of faith!!!
Father thank You for this day and Your amazing grace and boldness to walk in it. Lord, open the storehouses of Your abundant blessings to pour out over us and our family today. Lord, what comfort and joy we gain from Your precious Word Lord, we thank You that You are our strength and our shield Lord, our hearts trust in You, and we praise and thank You for the help and comfort we receive through faith. Lord, thank You that Your ear is ever open to the cries of Your people. Lord, help us take every thought captive to You when circumstances arise that would otherwise overwhelm us and cause us to fear. Lord Your joy is our strength; therefore, our hearts exult in grateful thanks and eternal praise. Lord, use us to be the light of Your love to those You bring our way today.
Father, we love You. Amen !
