Who can?

Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭13‬-‭14

“Who can fathom the Spirit of the Lord, or instruct the Lord as his counselor? Whom did the Lord consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge, or showed him the path of understanding?”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

How has God turned the wisdom of the world into foolishness? The answer is found in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the opposite of what the world tells is wise and mighty. God’s wisdom is far, far beyond our pathetic understanding of knowledge and truth. We are so limited compared to His perfect wisdom. We think we know what we need, but we don’t. We are so often misguided in our opinions and understanding. That is why we need to turn to God. He knows what is best for us. In fact, I dare to say that the only thing we really need is more of God. Think about it. God alone fills us with joy. God alone knows everything about us, even when we do not understand ourselves. God alone can direct our steps towards things that are good for us. God alone can save us from our sins and teach us righteousness. God alone can love us with the love that overfills our hearts with joy and peace. God is so good to us. God does not consult with experts for advice, because He is the source of wisdom. He doesn't seek guidance, because He is the counselor. He doesn't refer to physicists, engineers, architects, biologists, or zoologists for design help, because He is the Creator. He doesn't require instructions, because He is the Teacher of teachers. He doesn't need our opinions about how to handle our problems, because He holds our future and knows what's best for our lives. All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are found in Him. When the Lord, by His Spirit, made the world, none directed His Spirit, or gave advice what to do, or how to do it. The nations, in comparison of Him, are as a drop which remains in the bucket, compared with the vast ocean, or as the small dust in the balance, which does not turn it, compared with all the earth. This magnifies God's love to the world, that, though it is of such small account and value with Him, yet, for the redemption of it, He gave his only begotten Son. My friend, God’s desire is for us to know and experience Him. He wants us to understand Him and His ways. It is okay for us to ask those rhetorical questions, but let us not stop at the wondering. Let us seek a deeper relationship with the Creator of the Universe. We were created to know and have fellowship with our God. God desires that we would know Him. Not just know about Him, but know Him intentionally and intimately!!!

Father thank You for this day and we desire to know You in a deeper intimate way. Lord open the floodgates of heaven and rain down Your abundant blessings upon my friend and family today. Lord as we explore your Word, I ask that You give us Your wisdom, open our spiritual eyes to deeper understanding. Lord help us to make more time to sit quietly in Your presence, for we know it is in that quiet time that we learning more of who You are. Lord we need you, for we know that it is only You that can satisfy our every longing. Lord thank You for allowing us the opportunity to know You more. Lord use my friend to be the blessing that someone needs today. Daddy we love You amen. Be a blessing. Love ya !!
