Strength, Song and Salvation

Psalms‬ ‭118:14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭118:14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The message of this verse is critical. How do I know? Because it's written out for us three times. The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation. Psalm 118:14. The Lord is my strength and song, and He is become my salvation: He is my God, and I will prepare Him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him. Exodus 15:2. Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; He also is become my salvation. Isaiah 12:2. Finding strength to accomplish things is the goal of many people. They have a great dream or goal in life, but lack the strength to follow through with it or accomplish it. Others will find the needed strength in their position or wealth. Often the self determination gives a person the strength to keep moving forward over all obstacles in life. Along with this giving strength, they will also use it as their defense.

People will defend their actions by their position or their own wisdom. Actions are often justified as being good because everyone does it that way. In this psalm, the writer states that God is his strength and defense. It is God who provides salvation.Having God for one’s strength is leaning upon Him for wisdom, direction and strength to accomplish what needs to be done. It is focusing on what Jesus had already went through to bring salvation. If Jesus went through what He did, then the believer can make it through the light and momentary struggles of this life. Things of this world can help a person for a short time, but they are only temporary and will fail in the end. Jesus has provided for salvation to the very end. By His Holy Spirit He gives strength to stand strong and true to God as a witness to this world. As the world and your mind work to accuse of you sin, remember as you repent that Jesus forgives you. Stand on the forgiveness that has already been provided. God is ready to help you run and not grow weary on the path He has you on and He will protect your soul till the day you step into heaven.God is our strength, meaning He'll give us the power to make it through. He is our salvation, which tells us He will provide a way around or through our current trial. And He is our song, meaning that no matter what is happening around us, we still have a reason to sing. God is with us. He is in us. And He is for us. He's worthy of a melody or two. Sing to Him today!!!!

Father thank You for this day and for Your unfailing wonderful love that is beyond our ability to know and to understand. Lord pour out You abundant blessings from the floodgates of heaven let them flow over my friend and family today. Lord thank you for the peace You give when we follow Your Will and the untiring pain of conscience when we fail to be what You want us to be. Lord give us the wisdom and the strength of Your Spirit to make us what you want us to become. Lord use my friend to carry out Your Will in life and in so doing to help others in their journey to heaven as well. Daddy we love You. Amen. Be a blessing. Love ya !
