Isaiah 40:31
“but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31 NIV
I love the image of soaring high like an eagle, even though I’m afraid of heights. It speaks of the freedom we have when we trust in God. We don’t have to fear, we will be given new strength. That sounds marvelous, especially when we’re feeling weak.
This verse mentions benefits. Besides the new strength, we will soar high, rise above our problems. When we look from that higher vantage point, it’s easier to see the big picture and realize our need for God. Our problems look so much smaller when we are trusting God.
It can be hard to let go of the control in our lives. I feel like I’ve got a tug of war going with God sometimes, always wanting to take back those problems I already laid at His feet.
Why is it we act as if we have more wisdom to take care of things than God? Making the choice to trust God is taking control, isn’t it? It’s certainly making the wise choice. When we trust in God, we can fight the good fight, run the race of life, and never get weary.
After a long day at the office followed by evening busyness and doing all the normal life things, we remember weariness. We can also experience the exhilaration from trusting God through a problem or impossible situation. That rejuvenation of spirit is available to those who trust in God.
To know we are not going to collapse under the pressures of life is such a welcome relief. Trusting in God has its perks. Some of us need that reminder when the going gets tough. Just as important is to remember to trust God when things are going fantastically. Rejoice with God, thanking him that you do not feel faint and feel ready to conquer the world.
Trusting in the longevity of God's process requires faith and patience. It means recognizing that His ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect, even when we cannot fully understand or see the purpose behind His work.
Isaiah 55:8-9 reminds us that God's thoughts and ways are beyond our comprehension. His perspective encompasses the entirety of time and eternity. As we trust in Him, we acknowledge that His plans for our lives are far greater and more significant than we can imagine. Let go of the need for instant results or immediate understanding and trust that God's ways are perfect. Waiting is often a challenging part of God's process.
Psalm 27:14 encourages us to wait for the Lord, to be strong and take heart. Waiting requires patience and endurance. But as we wait on Him, our trust deepens, our character is refined, and His purposes unfold in His perfect timing.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 reminds us that God makes everything beautiful in its time. His process is purposeful and intentional. Sometimes, it may seem like progress is slow or that we are in a season of waiting, but God is working behind the scenes, orchestrating every detail for our good and His glory. Trust in His timing and embrace the journey, knowing that He is making something beautiful out of your life.
Today, reflect on areas of your life where impatience or doubt has crept in. Surrender those areas to God and choose to trust His process. Embrace patience, knowing that He is working all things together for your good. Trust in His perfect timing and rest in the assurance that He is faithful to complete the good work He has started in you.
Trusting in the longevity of God's process requires faith and patience. Even in times of uncertainty or challenges, we can find rest by reminding ourselves of God's faithfulness and trusting that His timing and plan for our lives are perfect!!!
Father, we surrender our impatience and doubts to You. Help us to trust Your process and timing, even when it is difficult. Strengthen our faith and grant us patience as we wait on You. May we find rest in knowing that You make everything beautiful in its time. Be a blessing. Love ya
Father, we love You. Amen
