"Let them praise your great and awesome name— he is holy. Exalt the Lord our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy. Exalt the Lord our God and worship at his holy mountain, for the Lord our God is holy.”
Psalms 99:3, 5, 9 NIV
Our magnificent God, who has no human limitations, chose to do something even more magnificent. God took on our humanity to become one of us. Jesus Christ, who with God the Father and the Holy Spirit is the God above all gods, chose to humble Himself so that instead of kneeling at God’s footstool in awe and wonder, we could sit at His feet. Men, women, and children were invited to gather around Jesus as He told stories about the kingdom of God, taught people how to live as true worshipers of God, and healed diseases, bruised hearts, and withered spirits. What’s more, Jesus died and rose again and ascended to heaven, where he again sits on the eternal throne. Everything is under his feet, even the last and bitterest enemy of all, death. The Holy Son of God has made it possible for us, people who are anything but holy in ourselves, to be holy. We were chosen in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. And so we praise Him, not only in Word, but also in deed. For the Lord our God is Holy. But there is one more action that this verse speaks of, and that is not to just bow, but to also worship there. Hallelujah. Our God reigns forever and ever!!!
Father thank You for this day and we kneel before the footstool of Your throne and praise You. Lord open the floodgates of heaven and pour out Your abundant blessings over us and our family today. Lord we sit at Your feet and learn from You. Holy Spirit, by Your power we have new life. Lord You are Holy, Your majesty exceeds our imagination. Lord Your glory is beyond our wildest dreams. Lord Your authority is supreme. Lord we exalt you by recognizing just how great You are. Lord by praising Your magnificence with our words as they express our thoughts and feelings. Lord how immeasurably wonderful You are. Lord use us to be a blessing to those that need it today. Father we love you amen. Be a blessing. Love you !
