Psalms‬ 97:11-12‬

“Light shines on the righteous and joy on the upright in heart. Rejoice in the Lord, you who are righteous, and praise his holy name.”

The Lord God shows us the way we should proceed by shining His light on the path before us. His directions are a comfort to those who know Him, because regardless of the outcome, we can be at peace that we are in the center of His will. That is an invaluable part of the blessing of having a personal relationship with Jesus, the King of kings and Lord of Lords. Following the One True God’s directions also brings joy and gladness to our hearts. If we are truly upright in heart and living our lives to honor and obey the Lord in all things, we will hate evil. We will not rejoice in doing something that is contrary to God’s Word or His will. Our actions are the evidence of our heart attitudes. We cannot be glad if we have disobeyed the Most High God. We must ask Him to forgive us and sincerely repent by doing our best not to repeat sin. Repeating sin will never bring us gladness. That only distances us from God’s heart. Joy. Rejoicing. When we think about the glory of God and the grace that He has shared with us to make us righteous, how can we not rejoice? God is gloriously Holy and Majestic. He is eternal and just. We, on the other hand, are flawed, mortal, limited, and sinful. Yet in His rich mercy, He has made us righteous by the sacrifice of Jesus so that we could share an eternal home with Him. Our response must be praise. There is no replacement for God’s boundless love and healing, which is available to us as we pursue His perfect will in our lives!!!

Father thank You for this day and the breath of Your life changing Word. Lord let Your abundant blessings rain down from the windows of heaven over my friend and family today. Lord we thank You for Your love and forgiveness. Lord teach us to be right and good and illuminate our path with Your light. Lord help us to be pure in heart, and experience the joy that following Christ brings. As the flowers bring brightness and joy to us, use my friend and I to be right and good, spreading light, love, and joy to others today. Daddy we love you amen. Be a blessing. Love you !
