“Let Your work appear to Your servants, And Your glory to their children. And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, And establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands.” Psalms 90:16-17 NKJV
Shining through this song of Moses is a song of praise that reflects the unshakable trust that Moses had in the Lord our God. And so he concludes with this beautiful prayer. Let the beauty and favor of the Lord our God be upon us. May He establish for us the work of our hands and may be bless the endeavor of our lives. When we are living in the perspective of rejoicing in all that God is doing, not only will we see the amazing things God is doing, but we will then live to show others. When we step out of living in the hopelessness right in front of us and move into the joy of seeing what God actually doing right in front of us, we can share those miracles, those testimonies, those stories, and the hope with others. We must show our children and grandchildren to know that God is a present, miraculous, and powerful God. Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us. When I read words like let and upon us, I envision a covering. I picture pausing and the Lord blanketing us with His beauty. We need only allow Him to put His beauty on us. He created us. We are the way we are supposed to be. There is no need to pursue all the things in order to be called beautiful by another’s standards. What God desires is that we pursue Him and the life He’s designed for us to live. He doesn’t want us to become distracted by the pursuit of fleeting beauty. When we surrender to Him, He will cover us with His beauty. Isn’t the most beautiful person that we encounter the one who is living confidently, doing the thing God has called them to do? Aren’t we most beautiful when we can look at ourselves in the mirror with confidence, certain that we are living the life Christ designed for us? Beauty begins on the inside with a heart surrendered to the Lord and then, and only then, is it reflected on the outside. And that beauty has nothing to do with the smoothness of our skin, the number on the scale, or the clothes that we wear. Let the beauty of the Lord our God be clothed upon you today!!!
Father thank You for this day and may Your grace and favor continue to rest upon us, and may the beauty of the Lord Jesus be seen in us and through us - as we submit to the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit in our life, to His praise and glory. Lord open the storehouses of Your abundant blessings and rain them down upon my friend and family today. Lord Teach us to number our days and grant us a heart of wisdom and understanding so that we may become mature in the faith, grow in grace and come to a deeper knowledge and understanding of You are and who we are in You. Lord use my friend to be the voice crying in the wilderness of this world that You are Lord Almighty who is coming back for His bride. Daddy we love you amen. Be a blessing. Love you !
