Psalms‬ 50:22-23

“Those who sacrifice thank offerings honor me, and to the blameless I will show my salvation.”” Psalms‬ 50:22-23

These verses really got me pondering this morning. It was so beautiful to me. These 2 verses contrast each other. It gives examples of those who don't care about God and those who do. Of course, I wanted to zoom in on the verse that talks about those who love Him. An overflow of our love for Him will be praise. Praise glorifies God. When we glorify God we are exalting Him above all else. Our faith in God pleases Him while our thanksgiving glorifies Him and the one that glorifies the Father is the true worshipper who worships Him in spirit and truth. Genuine thanksgiving to the Lord is a freewill offering, a sacrifice of praise, a living sacrifice, a gift of love, which is a sweet smelling savor to the Lord our God. Such an offering is not merely to be an external display of reverent homage, or a gesture of pious religiosity but an inner spirit of genuine gratefulness, a heart overflowing with adoration that springs from the man or woman that is deeply in love with the Lord indeed no act of thanksgiving nor any form of worship that does not spring forth from the inner being that loves the Lord is acceptable to Him. It is never too late for any believer who has adopted a form of complacency or put on a necklace of hypocrisy to change their ways, for God is gracious and long-suffering. But He also warns us to recognize the error of our attitude, change our ways and return to Him. Our faith in God pleases Him while our genuine thanksgiving glorifies Him. Let us be those that glorify the Father through a sacrifice of praise as day by day we worship Him in spirit and in truth!!!

Father thank You for this day and Your amazing mercy and grace that is bestowed on us. Lord open the floodgates of heaven and pour out Your abundant blessings upon my friend and family today. Lord we confess that we have not always had the right attitude of true thanksgiving towards You, but we want to make my life a living sacrifice that is pleasing to You and glorifies Your Name. Lord help us to identify and correct any wrong attitudes within our hearts and begin anew to worship You in spirit and truth this day. Lord use my friend to love others as You love them unconditionally and unfailing today. Daddy we love you amen. Be a blessing. Love you!
