“Praise the Lord, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples. For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord.” Psalms 117:1-2 NIV
This is the shortest psalm with only two verses, and it is the shortest chapter of the entire Bible. There are 1189 chapters in the Bible, and being the 595th chapter of the Bible, that places Psalm 117 right at the center of the book. Sometimes we may think we only have very little to say when praising the Lord, but may this psalm be our inspiration. God treasures every prayer we have. Let it be long or short, big or small. Psalm 117 begins and ends with a call to praise the Lord. We praise God because He is worthy of praise. We should praise Him daily in our private devotions and in public worship. If we really think about it, there is no inappropriate time to praise the Lord. This psalm tells everyone to praise the Lord. The Psalmist assured his readers that the Lord was not merely a local deity. He did not belong to Israel alone. God created the whole world and all of the people of the world. It is our responsibility to call the whole world to Jesus and to lead them to praise His Holy Name. He is worthy of praise. This psalm tells us to praise the Lord, for it addresses us when we read it. The Lord wants our praise, because He knows that praising Him is good for us. Why should we praise Him? His merciful kindness and truth endures forever. Praise the Lord because we can know His mercy and truth in Jesus. Praise Him for the grace that enables us to know His mercy and truth. Such a short yet powerful psalm. It lays the anticipation in my heart of that day when every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, and proclaim all glory to God. May our heart and view also broaden and see that our Lord is a great God. He desires everyone to know Him, receive His grace, and praise Him. May we praise God for Who He is. May we embrace this vision in our heart so we won’t fall into the trap of self-centeredness by over-personalizing the Lord and with a heart too small to contain who God really is. His great steadfast love and faithfulness are for all, and it’s meant to be shared. In a world so filled with wickedness and lying, kindness and mercy are wonderful attributes and the truth alone endures and wins in the end. We know in our heart of hearts that this is the way all men and women should live, but in truth, we seldom do. Yet, this Psalm is a testimony to the fact that the Law of God is written on the hearts of every single person!!!

I am going to have to remind myself to broaden my heart ♥️, we at times may see God in a certain way but this point highlights how we can open up and broaden our own mind and heart ♥️ concerning our view & Love of God. What a wonderful reminder 🙏
