Romans 5:1-5
“By entering through faith into what God has always wanted to do for us—set us right with him, make us fit for him—we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus. And that’s not all: We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open his door to us. We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand—out in the wide open spaces of God’s grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise. There’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!”
Romans 5:1-5 MSG
Peace seems elusive in our chaotic world. We often chase after temporary solutions, a better job, a bigger house, or the latest self-help trend. But true peace isn't found in circumstances, it's found in a relationship. When we place our faith in Christ, we receive something remarkable, peace with God.
This isn't just a feeling that comes and goes it's a permanent status. We move from being enemies of God to being His beloved children. This transformation is the foundation for experiencing genuine peace in all areas of life.
These verses speak to the assurance of peace with God through faith in Christ, access to grace, and the hope of glory. It also encourages rejoicing in suffering, as it leads to endurance, character, and ultimately, hope that never disappoints due to God's love poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit.
Justified, peace, access, grace, hope, and glory are wonderful gifts. Each of these gifts is ours because of One reason, One person, and One Lord, Jesus Christ, the Son of God and our Savior. Our faith in Jesus opens the door for us to rejoice in our assured hope of sharing in God's glory.
In troubling times, this hope is precious. In good times, this hope promises us even greater things. In every circumstance, this assured hope can empower us to live for Jesus to the glory of God.
How wonderful that we can have both peace with God and the peace of God as we walk through this life that can be full of strife, discord, and unrest.
The penalty for our sins, which God’s justice demands, can be eternally satisfied. It happens when we turn our life over to Him, we become justified. Then the peace of God rests on our lives, and we are given unlimited access to God.
As many have said in different ways, if our greatest need had been information, God would have sent us an educator. If our greatest need had been technology, God would have sent us a scientist. If our greatest need had been money, God would have sent us an economist. If our greatest need had been pleasure, God would have sent us an entertainer. But our greatest need was forgiveness, so God sent us a Savior.
Praise God for His inestimable gift of grace, His Son, His Name Immanuel God With Us!!!
Father thank You for this day and how wonderful to know that we have peace with You, through faith in Christ Jesus. Lord pour out Your abundant blessings upon my friend and family today. Lord the wrath that should have been poured out on us because of our sin, was poured out on You, Who willingly took the punishment that we deserved, You did this so that we could have peace with You forever. Lord thank You for Your grace and mercy toward us, we rejoice in our sufferings for Your Sake knowing that suffering produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces hope. Lord use my friend to be the light of Your love to all today. Be a blessing.
Father, we love You. Amen !
