God’s Truth Our Shield & Buckler

Psalms‬ 91:3-4

“Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.”

Psalms‬ 91:3-4‬ NKJV‬‬

There is true security in trusting in the almighty God of our salvation and along with King David, we also can rejoice that we who dwell under the shelter of our God and Savior are shielded and protected under the shadow of His wing. He is our Safeguard and our strong Shield, He is our Defense and our almighty Defender.

We can positively affirm that the Lord is our Refuge and our Fortress. He protects and helps. He is the One in Whom we are to place our trust. We can say with assurance that He is the One Who delivers us from the snares of men and rescues us from every plague, both in the natural realm and in the spiritual sphere. God is our eternal protector.

Sometimes we feel so vulnerable in this world. When things go wrong, they tend to do so spectacularly, don’t you think? People say it never rains, it pours. And that is so true. Here, in this world, we fight our daily battles. It often may feel as if survival itself has become a battle.

Just when we think we have got it, another problem arises and we are right back where we started. It is exhausting to live in the world. One thing we can always be sure of, though, is that, even when the storms gather and the lightning seems to, indeed, strike more than once in the same place, God is that one constant. He never changes, never fails and He always has our back.

Yes, even if we think He’s gone AWOL for a bit. He never sleeps, He is almighty and can see everything and, most important He knows us by name. May we abide in Him and never step away from His protective covering, for His promises are sure and His mercies are new every morning, great is His faithfulness.

The truth that I want to leave you with today is the promise of God that if you belong to Him, He promises to cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall find protection. His faithfulness shall be your shield and buckler( wall )!!!

Father thank You for this day and Your amazing grace to walk into it. Lord open the windows of heaven and shine down Your abundant blessings upon my friend and family today. Lord no matter what circumstances invade our lives, there is no evil or harm that the enemy can inflict on us. Lord thank You for our eternal good and the glory of Your Name. Lord thank You that as Your chosen, our times are in Your hands, and we pray that we may draw closer to You today and abide under the shadow of your protective wings of love and the shied of Your hand. Lord use my friend to proclaim Your awesomeness to all today. Be a blessing
