Psalms‬ ‭121:7-8

“The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭121:7-8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

These verses teach us to comfort ourselves in the Lord, when difficulties and dangers are greatest. It is almighty wisdom that contrives, and almighty power that works the safety of those that put themselves under God's protection. He is a wakeful, watchful Keeper, He is never weary, He not only does not sleep, but He does not so much as slumber. Under this shade we may sit with delight and assurance. He is always near His people for our protection and refreshment. The right hand is the working hand, let them but turn to their duty, and they shall find God ready to give them success. Our lives are not lived out on our own, alone. The Lord is with us personally. He holds our future and our safety in His hands. Our deliverance is assured, either deliverance from death which means service to him, or deliverance to Him through death which means freedom from the constraints of mortality and the battle with sin. The Lord will keep us from all harm. Why does this psalm 121 repeatedly tell us that God is keeping us? He understands that our trust is slow to gain and easy to lose. We live in a world that readily breaks the most solemn of vows. He emphasizes His promise to let us know that He will honor our faith. In all of our public affairs going out and our private ones coming in, from now until forever, we can count on God’s promise to keep us, to watch over and protect us from all evil. God is watching over our lives so that we will not be harmed. All we have to do is allow God to use whatever it takes to keep us from being harmed. The real harm we must be concerned with is harming our soul with sin. That is the only harm that can damage us for all eternity. Everything else is just a temporary training ground. The Lord is the only one who can protect our eternal life, for no other can. The call on today people of God is to look up to the Lord in prayer. Look up and see what He has already done and know that He is the same God from the days of old Who is still able to do the same for us today. Put all your trust in the Lord, and He will protect you!!!

Father thank You for this day and we are reminded to praise You for Your protection. Lord let Your abundant blessings fall upon my friend and family today.  Lord we might suffer difficulty in this life, but we know that we are eternally safe with You. Lord help us we pray, to live with the confidence that You are watching over us, guiding us, protecting us. Lord may we know each day the truth that You are with us always, Mighty Protector, Rock of our salvation, thank You that our future is secure with You, make this assurance the convicting power in our lives to turn over our future and our lives to You. Lord use my friend to be the light of Your love to all today. Daddy we love you amen. Be a blessing. Love ya !!
