God In Charge…Plans Take Place!!

Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭1‬-‭3‬

“Mortals make elaborate plans, but God has the last word. Humans are satisfied with whatever looks good; God probes for what is good. Put God in charge of your work, then what you’ve planned will take place.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭MSG‬‬

These verses emphasize the importance of seeking God's wisdom in our plans and actions. While we make our own plans, the Lord ultimately guides our steps and weighs our motives. Ultimately, committing our work to the Lord ensures that our plans are established and aligned with His will.

The wisdom of the world is foolishness to God, but the wisdom of God is life and health to those that obey Him. If only we could take this simple instruction to heart and carry it out to completion, we would be walking in the way of the Lord and living in spirit and truth.

The Bible reminds us many times that sometimes we think we are doing things in the right way and we think we are innocent. However, we can’t be so proud of ourselves because God knows and weighs our heart. To use one’s own standard to value things, that self-confidence is a dangerous trap.

Even if we can lie to ourselves, we can’t deceive God. Like Adam blamed it on Eve, Eve blamed it on the snake. They might have claimed that they’re innocent, but God knows their heart, knows their sin, and knows that they didn’t obey the order.

God can never carry out His work through a heart that is anxious, disobedient, or fearful. Nor can He achieve His purpose in our life if we are proud or seeking our own glory, for anxiety, disobedience, fear, pride, and vain glory all emanate from our old sin nature. God's will only works through our new-life in Christ until Christ is all in all to the glory of God the Father.

The best way to be assured that our plans will be achieved, is to dedicate our ways and works to the Lord and be willing to say, "Thy will be done."

Also, God reveals over and over again that God wants us to trust, commit our works, and lift our burdens. Even though sometimes our plans are not God’s plans, and our time is not God’s time, God still listens to our prayers and fulfills our prayers when the time comes, or in God’s way.

Today, let us commit all our plans and our works, our desires and our decisions to the Lord. May we establish all our ways in Him, our Rock and Redeemer, the only sure foundation on which to build our lives. Like Jesus, when we commit our plans and works to the Lord, we are saying, "Not my will, Father, but yours be done!!!”

Father thank You for this day and the many truths that are hidden within the precious pages of Your Word. Lord open the floodgates of Your abundant blessings let them flow over my friend and family today. Lord we pray that the plans and purposes of our hearts will mirror the desire of Your will for us. Lord lead us and guide us to learn how to lift up our burdens and worries to You, and have stronger faith in You, truly, madly, deeply, to trust You and love You with all our hearts, all our souls, all our strength, and all our minds. Lord use my friend to be the light of Your love to all today.

Father, we love You. Amen !
