Isaiah 40:28-31
“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
Isaiah 40:28-31 NIV
Beloved in our Lord Jesus Christ, where is your strength? We live in a world that prides itself in all its accomplishments. We live in a world that prides itself in being able to do anything it sets its mind to do, a world that has put men on the moon, and even plans, apparently, to put a base up there on the moon. We live in a world that has so much power stored up in it’s nuclear weapons, it could destroy itself a number of times over. But where is your strength? Is it in the things of the world? God is eternal. He has unlimited power. His supply of strength is limitless. He blesses and shares his grace without growing tired. Most importantly, He longs to share His power and grace with us daily. As we wait on the Lord our God, we are being strengthened inwardly. It is in the pain where patience, endurance and strength is obtained. God is above all. He is not like us. He does not grow weary as we do. And His understanding of His creation and His purpose in it is beyond our ability to comprehend. We may feel abandoned and left to our own devices. But God has not forgotten us. We may not understand what He is doing. But we can rest assured that He is in control.
People grow weary. But God does not. And those who hope in Him will find their strength renewed. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and walk without growing weary. If we trust in God, and the strength H provides, then nothing will be able to stop us. We may grow weary. But God never does. Trust and hope in Him regardless of the circumstances you find yourself in. He is sufficient. Sometimes we too can wander from the Lord or murmur against Him in unbelief, or we can simply become so familiar with the words of Scripture that we forget Who our everlasting, omniscient, gracious Creator God is, and of what He is truly capable. But these Scriptures that we would do well to recall to mind on those occasions when the stresses and strains of life cause our faith to be tested, or on those occasions when the pressures of life start to bear down on us or we find we despair or doubts flood into our being. He is our everlasting Creator God, Who knows the end from the beginning and has scheduled every day of our lives, from start to finish. He is our eternal Provider Who never gets weary and Who bears us up on His arms of love. He is our all-powerful, omniscient God Whose ways are unsearchable, and yet he even sees the little sparrow that falls to the ground and clothes the wild lilies that are watered by His abundant rivers of life. Never let us forget that our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever and that He is our everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. Let us never forget that He never grows weak or weary, for in Him is everlasting strength, eternal power, and never-ending might. Let us often call to remembrance that no one can measure the depths of His understanding, but that we are His children whom He loved so much that He sent His only begotten Son to die that we might be partners in His everlasting and eternal life, for ever and ever!!!
Father thank You this day and that You, the everlasting God, the eternal Creator, cares for us. Lord open the storehouses of Your abundant blessings and pour them out upon my friend and family today. Lord let us never wander into foolish pride, thinking we know everything about You, for Your ways are unsearchable. Lord when we are weary, please bring to our remembrance that in You is our hope and strength and that You do not grow weary. Lord we praise Your Mighty Holy Name. Lord use my friend to be the salt and light of Your Word of life to all today. Daddy we love You amen. Be a blessing. Love ya !!
