Created & Prepared By The Master

Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭10

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

It’s so easy to feel like you don’t measure up to others. You can see the things other people are posting on social media and if you’re not careful, you can begin to think that your life isn’t that exciting, or doesn’t matter. The truth, however, is that you were created for an awesome purpose.

We were products of a fallen creation, estranged from our Creator, and antagonistic towards our God, with all the carnal lusts and aspiration of fallen humanity. And we were under the power of this world system, slaves to Satan.

But being so rich in mercy, in His gracious loving-kindness, God loved us. Even though we were in the pitiable state of death because of our sins, He gave us life in Christ. Our present condition is irredeemable for a fallen creature can never change, but when He raised Christ from the dead, God exchanged our old life in Adam for our new life in Christ. When He died, we died, and when Christ was risen, we too were raised from our state of death into newness of life.

We must never forget that it is only by God's grace that we have been saved. It is only by God's grace that we have salvation, and we access that salvation through faith. For by grace we are saved, through faith and not of ourselves, lest we boast, for salvation is a gift of God's grace.

But we have not been raised to newness of life for no purpose. We are God's masterpiece, made in Christ Jesus in order that we may be able to perform the good acts and good works, which God prepared for us to do before we were even born.

We are God's masterpiece, God's workmanship, God's handiwork, God's creatures, we are God's new creation in Christ Jesus. God designed us with a purpose, and the enemy wants nothing more than to pull us away. We are called to invite people to be friends of God and there is nothing more compassionate than that.

God is working out in our lives a tremendous exhibition of His wisdom, His power, His love, His life, His character, His peace, and His joy. He is teaching us, training us, bringing us along, applying the paint in exactly the right places, producing a marvelous masterpiece to be put on display

You are more beautiful to God than the loveliest flower or sunset. You are dearer to Him than the Grand Canyon or a South American waterfall. You are richer and more interesting to Him than the rainforests and the snow-covered mountains. You are His masterpiece.

How wonderful that we truly are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them!!!

Father thank You for this day and we praise Your wonderful Name that we are Your handiwork. Lord open the floodgates of heaven and pour out Your abundant blessings over my friend and family today. Lord thank You that we were not saved by good works, but by grace through faith in You. Lord thank You that we were saved unto good works, and so we pray our lives would be lived to serve You wholeheartedly in the works You have prepared for us to do, to Your praise and glory. Lord use my friend to be someone’s blessing today.
