Burden Bearer

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭2

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

What a good word. What a good, short, significant word for you and me today that we fulfill the law of Christ. It encourages us as a  believer to support each other in times of difficulty. This involves actively helping those struggling with challenges, both physical and spiritual.

This verse highlights the importance of community and mutual support within the Christian faith, (so it can be on display to a lost world), emphasizing that believers are called to share in each other's burdens rather than isolating themselves or leaving others to struggle alone.

Just think about that in your own life. When your burdens are heavy, it’s really good to have someone who bears that with you, who steps into that burden with you, who shoulders the load of it with you. Who seeks to understand, as best as they can, how you are feeling the weight that you are feeling and attempts to carry that burden with you. And God by his Spirit in this verse is telling you and me to do that with one another.

Believers in Christ are fellow members of His Body, which is the Church. All are children of God and all have been born of the Spirit. All have been transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His dear Son. All have received eternal life as a free gift of God's grace, and all have been granted an inheritance that is kept for us in heaven.

Rather than loading people down with more to do, we should lighten their load and find grace together in following Jesus as Lord. Rather than flaunting our freedom in grace, we should use grace to be patient and understanding with each other. Despite our differences in culture, heritage, practice, ethnicity, language, and traditions, we are all people for whom Christ died.

Therefore, rather than quarreling, demeaning, or attacking each other, we should bear each other's burdens, lift each other's loads, and share each other's struggles and show that we are Jesus’ disciples as we demonstrate our genuine love for each other by our actions!!!

Father thank You for this day and the many lessons we are learning and the importance of becoming spiritual believers and fulfilling the law of Christ by abiding in Him and submitting to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Lord let Your abundant blessings pour out from the storehouses of heaven over my friend and family today. Lord may we grow in grace and wisdom, humility and gentleness, so that in the power of the Holy Spirit we may be spiritually enabled to support the weak, help the afflicted, bear the burdens of our brothers and sisters and restore those that have been tempted into sin, and thus fulfil the Christ-like law of Godly love to Your praise and glory. Lord use my friend to be a blessing to someone that needs it today.

Father, we love You. Amen !
