Isaiah 60:1-3
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.”

There is only one source of light in the midst of darkness. We should not be surprised that the world wanders in darkness, we see it all around us, even thick darkness. Only in Jesus do we find light. We need to consider how special that is. Every day we should give thanks to God for not leaving us in darkness. Hopelessness is a common characteristic describing spiritually and emotionally broken people, those having nowhere to turn. They feel they can do nothing to improve their circumstances. The theme of light shining in darkness is the most powerful message to give to such hopeless people, no matter how dark the blackness. They are words everyone needs to hear. Everyone finds themselves in dark situations and dark moments. The Bible says Jesus is the Light, and in Him is no darkness at all. My friends, the Light of Jesus will always dispel the darkness that engulfs this world. To shrug off some difficulty grasping this truth, one needs only to think of how turning on a light can bring brightness to a dark room. We, of course, are not this light, even in our best moods or modes. The true light comes from God. Jesus Christ is this true light that shines into this dark world. He is the Light that shines in every Christian life. The Holy Spirit’s presence in our heart must be allowed access to our face, posture, and attitude each day. By calling believers to arise and shine, God is reminding us that we have the ability to shine in this dark world because of His indwelling Spirit. Rise and let God’s grace lift you up from whatever darkness is holding you down. Jesus is the light of the world and He came to save the lost and offer you hope and a future. Surrender your heart to God so He may pour His favor out on you. Shine so others may see God through you by honoring Him not only with your words but by the way you live your life. Give God the glory and He will give you the victory. When God abides with His people, the radiance of His glory casts its shine on them so they become light in a darkened world. And, when God’s radiant glory shines through the lives of His people, then those in darkness are attracted to the light and will come to find out the source of the light. So, shine on, radiant people of God, shine on!!!
Father thank You for this day and the breathe of life You have given us today. Lord pour out Your abundant blessings over my friend and family today. Lord we pray that You would help us to be a reflection of the light of the world. Lord we praise You for the light You have shown in the darkness of our lives. Lord Your life is light to us and we pray that You would use our lives and Your light in us to shine before others, that people might be drawn to You. Lord use my friend to live life that’s so reflect the light of You that others see You and give their lives and glory to You. Daddy we love You amen. Love ya !!
